This duplex apartment is located on the 10th and top floor of a remarkable building designed by Roger Anger in 1969.
The entryway opens into a spacious living-dining room, bordered by windows and doors leading to the running balcony. Along this glass façade runs a long oak paneling, serving once as radiator covers and once as built-in cabinets, with sunlight caressing the generous curves of the doors.
A staircase highlighted by oak steps leads to a room fitted out as a TV lounge and to the surrounding terrace, which offers a spectacular view of Paris.
The landscape of low oak cabinets continues into the kitchen, enhanced by a floor of octagonal stones and black marble cabochons. The marbled patterns on the countertops, the backsplash, and the dining table create a soft, shimmering harmony.
The hallway leads to the bedrooms, office, and bathroom. With its fluid, minimalist design, it reveals a small bathroom behind a sliding door and a striking collection of Jersey pottery in a specially designed, illuminated showcase.
In the upstairs TV room, the oak shelving unit beneath the window and the graphic pattern of the radiator cover are repeated. An organically shaped corner sofa provides a comfortable seating area for reading or watching a movie. The screen, built into a large dark green panel, slides in front of the bookcase to position itself centred in front of the sofa.
As in the living room, remote-controlled blinds fitted with a technical fabric that blocks heat from entering soften the light in the room.
